SEO Meta Checker by URL
Paste a page URL to check its current title, meta description, canonical URL, indexing directives, and search-result preview.
SEO metadata review
Review the metadata found on the live page and compare it with the search-result preview.
Paste a public page URL to check its current SEO metadata.
This checker reads the HTML returned by the page at the time of the request. Some websites block automated requests or load metadata through JavaScript, so a result may occasionally be incomplete. Search engines can also rewrite titles and descriptions in actual search results.
Check a page's SEO metadata from its URL
Paste a public page URL and inspect its title, meta description, canonical URL, indexing directives, and a Google-style search-result preview.
You do not need to copy metadata from your CMS. The checker reads what the page currently returns in its HTML.
Use it after publishing or editing a page to confirm that the metadata you expect is actually present on the live URL.
Some websites block automated requests or render metadata with JavaScript. In those cases the checker may not be able to read every field.
Check a live page in three steps
All you need is the public URL.
Paste the page URL
Enter the full public address of the page you want to inspect.
Run the check
The tool reads the page HTML and looks for the current title, meta description, canonical link, and robots directives.
Review the result
Compare the metadata, character counts, indexing information, and search preview before making changes in your CMS.
Check a published product page
Paste the live product URL instead of manually copying its SEO fields.
The checker displays the live title and meta description, their character counts, the canonical URL, robots directives, and a Google-style preview of how the result could look in search.
What to look for
The goal is to spot missing, unusually short, unusually long, or conflicting metadata on the live page.
Page title
Confirm that a relevant HTML title exists and accurately describes the page. Character ranges are guidance, not a guarantee of how Google will display it.
Meta description
Check that the page has a useful description. Search engines may use it, shorten it, or generate a different snippet depending on the query.
Canonical URL
Confirm that the canonical points to the URL you intend search engines to treat as the preferred version of the page.
Indexing directives
Pay attention to noindex or other robots directives when a page is supposed to appear in search results.
SEO meta checker questions
Common questions when checking metadata on a live page.
Do I need to paste my title and description manually?
No. Paste the page URL and the checker reads the metadata currently returned by that page.
Does this show exactly what Google will display?
No. The preview is designed to resemble a standard Google result, but Google can change the layout, truncate text, or rewrite titles and descriptions depending on the query, device, and page content.
Why could a page fail to load in the checker?
The website may block automated requests, require authentication, be temporarily unavailable, or load important metadata only after JavaScript runs.
What does noindex mean?
A noindex directive tells compatible search engines not to include that page in their search index.
What is a canonical URL?
A canonical link tells search engines which URL a page declares as its preferred version when similar or duplicate URLs exist.
